Staff & Welfare
All the Norman Court Summer School staff are dedicated individuals who have experience, passion and an understanding of working with children from different countries around the world. There is 1 member of staff for every 5 students at Norman Court, allowing us to focus our full attention on the individual needs of each child. All activities and day trips are supervised by our well-trained staff with the welfare of the students as our main priority.
Managers - The Centre Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the summer school, supported by the Assistant Centre Manager. The Director of Studies is responsible for the English Programme and our Activity Co-ordinators are responsible for planning and running our afternoon and evening activity programmes.
House Parents - The House Parents are responsible for the welfare of the students in the boarding houses and during break times and meals, supported by the rest of the staff at the school. They will attend to any needs the students have and help them solve any issues that may arise.
Teachers - The Norman Court Summer School teachers are qualified native speakers who have a genuine desire to work with international children. The teachers also help with activities and looking after the children in the evening.
Activity Leaders - The activity leaders are responsible for implementing the activity programme to ensure that the children are having fun and speaking English.
The Norman Court Summer School Staff are responsible for the students 24 hours a day, so whether the students are in their accommodation, on activities or relaxing during their free time, there is always a member of staff with the children at all times.
